NorthWood Church is a large multiethnic church in Keller, Tx. They were looking for branding that will appeal broadly across age groups and demographics. We decided that bold colors and simple graphics would provide the best solution.

Pathway Rehabilitation is a business that is a few years old and had grown out of their generic logo and branding that they had been using.  I worked with the owner to find a design and color scheme that we were both happy with and represented what he wanted from his business.

This was my first packaging project. I started from the beginning and designed a logo and chose a color scheme. We had to meet all legal requirements for food packaging. I wanted the branding to feel cool and hip and appeal to a millennial crowd.

This project was all about learning about layouts for different print and web formats, and incorporating them all into a non-functioning website. I learned a lot from this project about margins and grids and good rules of design.  There are a few fundamental things I would probably do differently if I was completing this project now but it represents to me how far I have come in my designing and how much all of the little things matter when completing a good professional design.

Diversity Day was a big event put on by NorthWood Church with more than 2,000 people in attendance. The biggest problem that needed to be solved with design was how to have different sections of the event for different kinds of food but still have a cohesive look to really represent the mission of the event. We decided to use a jewel toned color scheme and make each section be monochromatic. Everyone was really happy with the final design and the event was a huge hit.

This is a sample of the basic art package that is put together at NorthWood Church for their event marketing. Included is a web banner, a digital slide for use during services, a smaller logo image, and handouts with more information. This event was for a collection of donations to hand out to the homeless population of Fort Worth. Because it was sponsored by the Kids Ministry I wanted the design to be colorful and fun.

Using the musical South Pacific as an inspiration I designed a complete font to use for the title of the movie poster. I wanted my font to show the conflict in the movie of the carefree island spirit with the undertones of more serious topics like war and racism.

Northwood church | fundraiser promotion

This design was for a kids fundraiser at NorthWood Church. They sold cotton candy to raise money to help farmers buy Water Buffalos in  Vietnam.

The students threw a throw back event so we were going for a mix of modern and 90's retro design.

This was really fun to design. The students were doing an event with a costume contest and really wanted a unique, cool design.

I played with layer styles and transparency in this design to highlight the swirling color of the background.
